An El Salvador national was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in Florida on August 23, with Immigration and Customs Enforcement placing him on a detainer for removal proceedings.
Luis Eduardo Olla-Hernandez is accused of shooting Devin Graves multiple times, attempting to burn the body, and forcing his girlfriend at gunpoint to assist in the disposal. The Leon County Sheriff's Office arrested him after discovering partially-burned human remains on his property.
ICE lodged a detainer with the Leon County Jail the same day of the arrest. According to federal records, Olla-Hernandez illegally entered the United States through Texas in February 2016. An immigration judge issued a final removal order on September 18, 2024.
Federal authorities identified Olla-Hernandez as a member of MS-13, designated by the Trump Administration as a foreign terrorist organization.
